Melissa Guerrero wanted to purchase a home for many years, but did not believe that she had the income and the ability to accumulate the needed savings for it to happen. On May 21st, Melissa achieved what seemed unreachable when she purchased a renovated townhome in the Park Place Townhome Community through the Community Land Trust of Palm Beach County. About her home purchase Melissa noted, “I didn’t believe it possible with the income I’m currently making. The CLT and a whole lot of patience made that possible.”
With her purchase complete, Melissa and her dog have a home of their own and she can focus on her next goals. She is looking forward to putting her own personal touch to her house and the financial security that homeownership provides her. Melissa specifically wants to have the ability to pursue her passion for travel. Lastly, she has an even bigger dream than homeownership that she is developing the steps to achieve it. Melissa wants to provide a safe and stable home to a child in need either as a foster parent or through adoption.
Thank you to our partners at the Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Sustainability and PNC for helping Melissa reach her goal of homeownership!
